Description

A Beautiful Porcelain Figurine entitled " The Seafarer" HN#2455 from the Sea Characters Collection by Royal Doulton. This Lovely hand - made and hand decorated matte - colored Figurine is Rare, designed by Mary Nicholl and issued in 1972 - retired 1976. It features a bearded Seafarer sitting on a piling, dressed in a blue shirt, yellow gold jacket, blue jeans and black waders (boots). He wears his favorite captains hat and has a piece of white paper in his hands. At his feet is a length of thick black metal chain, a coiled rope with a seagull perched on top and several pieces of bread. This whimsical Figurine measures approx. 8 7/8" high, base measures approx. 6" in length and 4 3/4" wide" . An Estate find, he is in EXCELLENT Condition.
