Description

Up for your consideration is this beautiful vintage hand painted porcelain china cake plate set. The large cake plate is marked M.Z. Austria (1908-1945). The small cake plates are marked Thomas Sevres Bavaria (1908-1939). The creamer and sugar are marked Favorite Bavaria (1910-1940). All the plates have been hand painted by the same artist and signed "U. Johnson. The grouping is a 9 piece which includes the large cake plate that measures 10 3/8" it is double handled & 6 small desert plates measuring 6 3/4" in diameter. Also included are the creamer measuring 5 1/8" long x 4" tall x 2 7/8" wide & sugar bowl measuring 5 3/8" long x 4" tall x 2 5/8" wide. The set has a beautiful rose blossom pattern with enamel flecks on the flowers accented with a heavy gilt gold. 1 of the small cake plates has a crazing spider line on the underside and there is some roughness on the underside lip's of the plates. This is a stunning set and the colors are crisp. The set is very clean.
