Description
This is a rare opportunity to get a set of six Thomas porcelain dessert plates. These were made in Bavaria (Germany) most likely between 1908 and 1922 based on the backstamp. Thomas dated their backstamps with points and this one just has one point and by 1930 the logo changed. The company was also taken over by Rosenthal, makers of some of the best porcelain, in 1908. The plates have a great Art Deco design with the outer rim gold then a light green rim with baskets of fruits around the rim and everything outlined in black. They measure 7.5" in diameter. They are all in very good condition with little or no wear. Zoom in and look at the pictures closely since there are some small issues. There are a few plates with little black marks and some more black marks on the back almost looks like that could be paint. There are no chips or nicks. These make such an elegant set and sets just do not come around very often. It is perfect for any collector!
