Charming Thomas Bavaria Bone Porcelain Decorative Plate Hand Painted and Signed This delicate, Thomas Bavaria bone china porcelain decorative plate is marked and signed. Has an delicate eggshell blue band at rim surrounded on both sides with gold details. Between the gold lines there is a eggshell blue band and under the band beautiful hand painted daisies in a blue flower pattern. Perfect for showing as a cabinet or mantel plate. This gorgeous Thomas Bavaria plate features the back stamped with “Thomas” over “Bavaria”, this mark was used from 1908-1939, and is signed on front the “Boylan”. As with most bone china pieces you can hold the plate up to the light and see you fingers on the back. The company name of ‘Thomas Bavaria’ was 'Porzellanfabrik Thomas & Ens' at the beginning. Later, the company was taken over by the Rosenthal Group. Thomas Bavaria porcelain marks signed, with back stamp, and its estimated date of manufacture 1924-1932. As the name implies, Bavarian Porcelain refers collectively to chinaware & decorative porcelain that is made in Bavaria, Germany.
